They have five recognizable voices. They all give so much color to Red Velvet vocals and sing pretty well altogether.

If he is talking about colour in terms of vocals or music, it's their connection to throwback R&B styles usually heard on "Quiet Storm" formatted radio stations that is being referenced. "Kingdom Come" is a Hip-Hop/Soul track; a style Mary J. Blige is known for to this day. You could literally mix the chorus of The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Kick In The Door" into "Kingdom Come" and it would still bob heads.
The music is also sophisticated. Red Velvet gets these "differentiation points" because only one other group in the K-id0l world can do it right now and still not at the same level of slick that some Red Velvet songs have.
