On a serious note I still don't see the point of NFTs, especially with taking the environmental impact in consideration.

What does it mean and how it will affect Stray Kids and ITZY? My only interest

Environment issues are only if it uses proof-of-work not proof-of-stake. But that’s a good idea and also a sign of a bad one. NFTs allows certainty of something sold as authentic. On the end hand, JYP just seems to be riding it as a trend rather than maybe a use-case perhaps

Aren't NFTs just selling images that already exist and that people can easily download for free? I find it so silly

anyone can steal someone's art and sell it for thousands

it also screws over the environment but as an artist who has had their art stolen before i'm especially pissed at NFTs. there's literally bots posting thousands of stolen pieces from instagram, deviantart, twitter, etc.

why do people still buy albums, or songs on apple music etc when they can listen to them for free?

for some, its just to support the artist.

for others, its a great way to make money. they are going to release this merch for, say 20$ a piece. then the person who buys it, can sell it for $50 dollars. its an investment.

its not gonna die soon, its only going to grow as more companies will move towards nfts, when they see the profit. and believe me they will see the profit. lee sooman is probably gonna release a nft group soon
