Two quirky pop perfection songs. The aesthetic is great for both concepts with that, il's a bit psychedelic and magical.
Why did people hate Signal or Rookie?
-
-
I-fans were stupid to buy into the K-Netizen hate for those even when the numbers confirmed they were a hit
-
I honestly like both! But I suppose Signal is quite experimental, and Rookie is too quirky for some tastes.
-
I like rookie but I didn't like signal signal is too cute at least rookie wasn't cute it was more experimental and their performances made the song more interesting.
-
They didn't really hate them. Both performed adequately well on the charts (TWICE charting, Red Velvet charting). It's just that Rookie was sandwiched in between two of Red Velvet's most popular songs (Russian Roulette and Red Flavor), so it was kinda the awkward middle child. And Signal only performed less in comparison to TWICE's insanely high charting average at the time.

Fun fact is that Signal now look more like a legit hit compared to their recent releases.
Im not sure what Im saying is true, but signal did killed some momentum they had. Which resulted in likey chart performance not as good as it deserved.
If likey was released first, it would have smashed way harder. As evidenced by youtube views, likey is getting most views among their catalog
