What does the merger between Vlive and Weverse mean to SM and Beyond Live in your opinion?

    SM collaborated with Naver to create Beyond Live. SM came up with the idea and Technology while Naver provided the streaming platform (vlive)

    So now that vlive will cease to exist, what do you think will happen to the Beyond Live venture? Do you think SM will still do business with the new Naver x BH app or will they take their business somewhere else?

    Whatever happens I hope their old content won't be lost. Especially the repayable paid concerts.

    I tried to download wewerse. I wanted to watch seventeen. I quit after a while cause it was so unfriendly. You can't buy the online contents from the app. You have to download another app. I couldn't be bothered to do that. I much prefer vlive. I hope they move wewerse to vlive and not the other way round.


    SM also has other contents like Exo's heart for you on vlive. I'd be sad if those contents are lost. I hope it continues. They can also do it on Youtube.

    Do you have any idea how reliant on vlive SM artists are? The only thing I watched on vlive was the NCT life series but I watch everything else on their YouTube channel. I'm just trying to understand how big of a difference this merger could mean for them in case they decide to stop using vlive.

    The way I understood it they're going to create a new app in a year which will have features from both.

    I'm not sure if I like the idea of them joing Universe. YG and BH are neutral towards SM, but CJ is very open is their dislike of SM and SM artists for more than 10 years now

    I also highly doubt SM would collaborate with CJ. They didn't spend most of their career fighting against CJs monopoly plans to the point of repeated boycotts only to go and collaborate with them now.

    As for the real time interaction with fans, they can always use Instagram. But I guess it will be difficult to adjust especially for their local fans who got used to taking vlive for granted

    I hope nothing and they stick with vlive. SM idea of platform is oksusu in which they already invest and nothing is crappier than that. I also don’t want them to go and develop something on their own cuz their idea of exposure is Korea and Japan. Lol.



    In the end it’s about what’s more profitable. I think YouTube would take too much of a cut of their profit and they prolly won’t go there.

    I just don't know how the whole business with Beyond Live will work. This is not just about using the platform as a fansite. SM had their own technology and ideas invested in the Beyond Live venture and I wonder if that too will be automatically passed along to Weverse alongside vlive
