it’ll take time for weverse to develop their version of vlive but i’m not sure whether other apps like universe would take the initiative. so the groups that aren’t on weverse, do have it rough ahead...

I know, I'm pissed to see it getting merged as well. Someone said that all artists will join weverse so I don't know what's the actual plan.
Personally I don’t like Vlive. I prefer Weverse, it’s less complicated for me.

Yes it is. I mean the current version is. I doubt that will change. But just like Vlive plus the artist on Weverse also have contents what you have to buy with money to watch. Like BTS variety BTS Run is free but the BTS Run behind is purchasable. Then there are fan memberships with each group for special benefits.
But these features could change depending how they merge the two app. Personally I prefer Weverse.
The menu is simple and the artists interact with the fans. You leave messages to them and they can go through and choose with one to answer.
It’s kinda crazy how much Hybe has shaken the industry. Almost feels like they finally shocked SM and other top companies out of complacency. Good for us cause that means they will start needed to innovate to keep up/stay relevant but also means kpop is changing a lot for fans rapidly.
But i guess that’s what happens when one of your competitors starts throwing cash everywhere, you have no choice but to do the same.
I just hope all the old video lives are saved and transferred over...

I don't care about any official content like BTS Run but I used to love watching personal vlives of groups/idols and them reading fan comments and commenting on it live. So I'm gonna miss it once VApp will be down.
