  • are those angles planned beforehand? because i've seen some music stage behind the scenes videos, and they always practice a few times, checking where all the camera angles are. so all members know where to look and then after a few takes, they perform the actual performance.

yeah they are doing pre-recordings etc.

problem here is kind of the "middle" moment, when camera is far away it's ok but then zoom should be on upper body... not this middle moment when it kind of caughts girls safety shorts, or underskirt area

    .....no ew

  • I think it depends :

Of course there is a good bunch of camera angles being way too close to some body parts for no apparent reason (yeri's leg cam in Power Up when she literally doesn't move her legs).

About the floor camera angle, it's very common for dance videos and competitions so i'm not too shocked about it, maybe used too much on gg perf when they know they have skirts (dancers usually don't wear skits) ?

Some of them were fine though, like the Sunmi leg kick where it's totally natural to follow the leg with the camera as it is the main move and you follow the right direction (Sunmi also do not do anything significant with other parts of her body). And about sexy moves, especially rising moves close to the legs tights etc, i think doing a close up bottom up one time isn't that bad, again you follow the move and even without camera the move is made to be looked like that. Doing it 3 times in the same perf is too much though, for example if you do your biggest close up possible on seolhyun's ass in miniskirt, don't do it another time lol.

Also some of them were so strange i definitely think the cameraman made a mistake.

  • some were ew and some were okay. I mean if the choreos stop patting the pussy and shaking the booty there wouldnt be need to take certain shots to capture the movememts etc

  • TV stages in general are higher then camera position on the ground.

    1.0 - 1.5 Meter Difference!

So it comes the camera is focused on the pants of Girls.

Finally Direktor / Editor of TV (KBS or SBS) decides which scene get aired.

Cameraman is only positioning the camera according orders.

Often the Label of gg's gives a frame for camera shoots for pre-recording (Inkigayo f.ex.)

Sometimes they have a filed Script for TV Editor.

Labels pay 60 - 80% of costs for Stage Design!

It's a part of comeback Investment.
