I agree most songs today don't go that route. I've been vibing to TRI.BE 'Rub-a-Dum' lately and it sounds nothing like ASAP. But if STAYC keeps rising, this kind of song might become the new norm? I don't know! I don't even pay so much attention to these things honestly.
