White conformity in kpop is the deliberate attempt to become more acceptable to white social and physical standards at opposition of one’s own natural ethnic characteristics.

> whitewashing of idols with natural darker skin
> inclusion of white people in kpop music videos
> change mannerism and voice intonation when talking with white people
> use of subtle or not so subtle white social tropes in music videos
> endorse or model for white-owned businesses
> minimize unique aspects of their culture so “white people don’t feel uncomfortable” with things that are too foreign to them
> try to blend in with the white mainstream media when promoting overseas
