some groups do this specifically to donate to fans who cannot afford the song themselves. its not rlly "artificial" when and individual can only buy the song once on an account. it only becomes artificial when people are creating multiple accounts with vpn or smtg
edit: i guess i was specifically thinking of buying the song digitally here but i realize this applies to album bulk buying which is a different story.
That first idea is neat and nice of people.
And year we were talking more about bulk buying projects haha.
I think this should extend to fundraising for albums too though. If fans are already launching fundraisers to prepare bulk buying of albums yet to be released, some before their existence has even been announced, should we call their chart placements organic as well?
I think we’re all missing the point tho.
Fans are just crazy. If you bulk buying or wasting your money to line the pockets of a company in hopes that some of the money trickles down to your faves, and so you can brag about sales, then you are fucking delusional and need help.
But kpop isn’t ready for that conversation.

I don't want to say anything that may offend someone, as it is not my business to tell someone how to spend their money.
But I do agree to some extent, and that is that k-pop fans should not feel obligated to buy merch to support their favorite artists. But some fans really enjoy the merch that is released. So it really just depends on the situation.

Am i missing something here? You're mad KKB is the most streamed song? Because it gives off that energy.
I think it's more of an organization / dedication thing
I think we need to ban the term organic from kpop.
