+ a Debut is to show to everybody the direction that the group will take in the futur, and BM definitely did a good job in this way
it made Aespa stand out directly with their debut from the other GG with their original aesthetic and story
and definitely made people who even dislike the song keep an eye on Aespa to see where their concept is going to go in the futur
Forever's a good song but Black Mamba was more powerful and increased the hype
Not a lot of gg from the Big Three have debuted with a ballad lately it's most like girl crush titles. Black Mamba did the damn thing and is a bop, but it sounded just like every other mainstream gg title that have been released.
Forever should have been the debut single.
But Black Mamba was important because it introduces aespa's universe.

no. i love black mamba and forever is such a long boring song that goes nowhere
Ballads tend to not create much momentum as singles. Could it have been an album cut for the debut single? Sure.

I think the main reason is because it did not have that boom! It was not strong and it did not really fit their AI concept that much
Forever is a cover. You can't debute with a songs that's it not yours.
i mean no groups are releasing any original music this day
