It is because for some fans rank 41 is something really good and for other rank 31 is bad because they have to big expectation

I think Gfriend was call flop because they start to get know by the public and Stayc is still a rookie group and Knetz are impress by the ranking by a rookie group. Everything depends on this situation the Idols are in and you know that Knetz don't really are the brightest people

31 must have been a bad rank back then even for a small company group. Melon was different back then. These days people celebrate even just entering melon at #100 or charting for a few hours only. And very few groups have reached as high as #41 since the chart changed.

Stayc did not enter the new melon chart before so that rise is impressive.

You have other expectations for groups that did better before

Its decent, relative to how other idol groups are doing nowadays.

But in general its not really good at all. If any of the top groups pulled that, even 4th gen ones, ITZY,G-IDLE, it would be a flop song for them. If people think of StayC as a top gg for the 4th gen, then the song isnt really doing too well.

If people think see them as rookies and not top level yet for the 4th gen, then the song is doing good

Well the system is different now so the standard is also different.

Lol people here being so ridiculous. Glass bead was gfriend’s debut song and they had NO expectation from the public. What are yall talking about their company was just a new company and they were the first idol ever debuted with the company. And no, getting top 100 back then wasn’t as easy as yall made it to be. If it was that easy so many groups would manage to get it but no, only a few of them could break into top 100 back then as well. I can’t believe the gfriend erasure among akp members!
