(Poll) Can Girl Groups move past the "Mature" Concept?

I feel like a lot of Girl groups, in K Pop, hit a wall once they get into the mature concept phase.

Yes, I get it, you're grown and sexy but there comes a time when you need to move on artistically.

And artistically, I feel a lot of GGs become creatively bankrupt once they reach a certain point, and that's not on the members of those particular groups.

Again, when an act in music fails, it's usually the labels' fault unless we're talking about someone who can barely sell records.

I feel like so many GGs have so much untapped potential but they just end up getting stuck in this carousel of "mature concepts."

When you get into the mature concept, it seems like you become more successful overseas, so I don't think Girl Groups would want to go back.

I wouldn't say they should go back to what they were doing before but more as pushing the envelope of their music.

SNSD first mature concept was Genie and then they immediately went back to youthful with Oh. Then they kept switching things up between more mature styles like The Boys, Mr Mr, Lionheart etc and youthful styles like IGAB, Party and Holiday.

Can't OTHER record labels kinda, idk, copy that blueprint?

Maybe it's not because they hit a wall in terms of creativity to get past mature concepts. It may be more the support system most GGs are under will not last more than 7 years. Usually the ones that survive will only have comebacks once in a while if at all and just stick to solos.

For instance, Apink changed for a more mature concept in the last comebacks. Judging from the last two, they didn't hit a wall concept-wise. We would need a new one to see if they get to this supposed wall and if they need to move on to a different path. With their current arrangement, after the 10th anniversary, who knows when this gonna happen. Other group that is in similar situation would be SNSD, but when will they get a new comeback?

Usually when they hit the "time when you need to move on artistically", it means going solo if not disbandment.

I think there aren't that many examples to back this idea out. It seems more a case by case.

Idk, a lot of GGs flop after awhile and it's usually when they're in Mature concept mode i.e. the wall.
