in the way to school there used to be this house that had a huge fucking scary dog that would literally try to bite you through the gate. It got too the point we would have to walk in the road to avoid that beast

In my second year the dog was missing. Turned out during the summer holiday the dog had jumped over the gate and bitten a kid. The kid needed surgery on its leg and arms and the dog was killed as a result

I don't know what it's called in english but here it's called Yamakagashi (romanized of course)

They are venomous and there is no cure for a bite

I think the Tiger Keelback? But there is totally antivenom for it. I think it's the Habu that doesn't or didn't used to have antivenom. Anyway Keelbacks rarely bite anyway thankfully

A brown snake out in the bush. I was scared but just stayed calm and it slithered away. Aussie animals aren’t as bad as people think, just leave them alone and they’ll leave you alone.
