i know this is a shitpost but actually the reason there are so many cows is because they are bred for beef and dairy, if everyone went vegan the earth's cow population would drastically drop
edit: I just read the thread and some of y'all are unironically believing OP?? stay in school kids

Having children is harmful to the world. More children = more people = more ecological damage.
Let's end the human race and save the world.
-
considering we can grow plants in space i think we could potentially fix this issue.
-
The worst thing for the planet is having children. Don't have children. Less children = less consumption and less waste. It has been proven that having children is the single worst thing you can do for the environment. The next best thing is to avoid driving and use public transportation. After that is going veggie.

More vegetarians = less meat consumption = more cows = more pants being eaten = less oxygen and rain = more global warming and ecological damage.
That's why eat meat and save the world

Uh, just no? I hope you all realize that animals also eat, they don't do photosynthesis. 53% of the global plant protein production / 36% of the global calorie production is used as animal feed. These animals then reconvert proteins and calories into proteins and calories for human consumption. And they are not very efficient at it. Each 100 g of protein eaten by cattle is converted into 5 g of protein for human consumption. That means you need 19x more land than if it was consumed directly by humans. It gets even worse when you consider total farmland dedicated to livestock: 77%.

It's ok to believe whatever you want
The food chain is there for a reason and mother nature's natural system is for humans to eat certain things in a balanced diet including meat, plants, carbs and dairy. That's basically pointed out naturally by the fact that people get sick when they don't eat enough plants, meat, dairy and carbs.
But you can do and eat what you want to, I'm not telling you what to eat or anything, you are your own person so you do you. I just believe what I will

It still doesn't mean that being a vegetarian is more harmful to the planet. I eat meat myself, but it's still a fallacy that eating meat is better for the environment.
If you want to justify eating meat because you like it, fine. But don't use the fallacious argument that being a vegetarian is worse for the planet.

I don't really think being vegan or whatever is harmful but I also don't think eating meat is bad either
I myself never said that eating plants is bad, that's other people who say things to start an argument or just because and then won't defend their statements when someone calls them out
I am not any of that
Anyway, I agree with everything you said in both posts, just wanted to make what I said clear
