Now, this is quite a sensitive subject, but a subject that is essential to discuss as kpop consummers and fans of kpop groups. It's the subject of chart manipulation. For either gain or sabotage.
There are many ways to sabotage rivals and I believe there are people/companies that are competitive, shameless and vindicative enough to sabotage their competition. Specially if they have the ressources to do so, the motives, and a whole pattern analysis of their psychology and behaviour suggesting the high possibility of such outregeous misconduct and violation of fair business practices.
Following that, I think BlackPink are being victimes of sabotage, and specially their title track Go.
Hear me out, this is Tatty talking. The one who has been proven rigth over and over again regarding the plots and schemes of this ruthless kpop industry
.
AND I have observed, using basic patterns recognition skills, that the way the Melon chart is currently behaving is NOT normal.
At around 8 AM and 12 AM the chart FROZE for 5 minutes.
So not just once, but twice.
It ususally updates the minute the new hour starts.
And this always happend at the times when BP could have had the biggest gains...
They should be in the top 2/3 by now easily. It's also literally an empty house, with quite low uls...
And the biggest gg right now, the girl group who just broke the all time records of ggs first day album sales, with an mv that had +20 millions views in a day, with a top 3 biggest gg hit of last year and most popular song of 2025, is stuck / frozen in the lower 10s
...
I personaly believe someone is sabotaging BP.

--------------
By the way, this Melon bug reminds me of Argmageddon charting in 2024. It's not an 'exception'. Everytime the charts were gonna update at night in the hours where the gp listens most to songs, and specially new songs, Melon bugged. With Argmageddon, it was even more severe, the chart will stay at 10 am for a whole hour and then be updated 2 hours later. With glitches on the song. (And it happend despite aespa being under Kakao at that time... like?)
But anyway, both songs Go and Armageddon were also major career highlights and epic bangers, and both were following big hits such as Supernova and Jump, both release by the most trendy girls groups.
Let that sink in.
.....
Now we may wander WHO would do that? What would be their motives? How could they do it?
I'm not sure about the how, but well guess what? BOTH groups also have a COMMON ENNEMY and RIVAL. An ennemy who happens to be very powerful, rich, and also publicly fraudulent. An ennemy who has been exposed how wanting to step on one group and using connections to sabotage the opportunities of the other rival girl group.
AHEM.
Yes the Pig with billion worth financial fraud, having been exposed of major sajaegi for over a decade, trying to monopolize the market and trying to dictate which kpop act can make it or not, having an 18k report slandering the whole industry, hating anyone but his groups being successful so much as destroying a generational group under a sublabel, denying the impact of both Squid Game and KDPH,
AND conveniently having his flagship bg making a comback in a month in the same year as their biggest rivals... The only asset/weapon that is saving their *ss from total failure and bankrupcy.
Yes I'm poiting at him
.
But ultimatly, even regarldess of the WHO, the fact that Go is being sabotaged is undeniable to me. Or at least there is a HIGH chance of it being true.
.....
Futhermore, and that's a bit more debatable, there are also issues on Spotify
... it seems there are 2 variants of the album and the streams on the songs might have been divided. Specially on the tt. Let me remind you that Go had a better debut than Jump on Apple Music...
And Jump debuted with 7million streams, but following that even Jump went through a glitch / bug/ hacking last year, which made the song drop around 2 million streams overnight WHILE rising on Apple Music.
This is again another bizaaare chart behaviour surrounding BP...
The versions should normally be merged, but knowing again Hybe's connections to Spotify, notably through Scooter, knowing Spotify's shady reputation as well, let me keep my doubts about the transparency or the fairness of the counting process
.
In conclusion, yeah, BP is being sabotaged, and I don't even think YG is protecting them either, if not the opposite. In a way or another, I think YG is actually part of it, just looking at the way he is (not) promoting Deadline or Jump and the timing of the album's release. Yeah the girls aren't staying in YG for long and I bet they are gonna be far more successful outside
