I don't get why Korean BLINKS are upset when this is similar to how BP used to react during award shows and performances in the past. Ifans praised BP for not reacting and because they were from YG, there was a perception that they carried a certain image like a sense of superiority over other idols so it was fine not to react. The double standards now...

I like this Jennie account calling them out...

I also think no one is obliged to do anything. In this case, I think, it's entirely related to Korean blinks. It's not really about Korean listeners in general. or international blinks

Let the idols react however they want. Some k-pop fans can be overly critical, comparing reactions as if it’s their responsibility. They say they want to bring back idol reactions during award shows but then react negatively when it actually happens. I’ve seen similar behavior among ifans, with comments like "they’re just jealous of Jennie which is why they’re not reacting". Some fans tend to project themselves onto their fave idol and live vicariously through them...

At least among ifans, it didn't get this intense. For a singer like Jennie, who always talks about female empowerment in her songs, it's really wrong for her korean fans to almost bully a group. It's honestly an extremely ridiculous and exaggerated situation. As I said, the main reason this issue dragged on and got so much attention is the Korean blinks.

I also saw a netizen post about it (there’s a netizen post on the well-known site featuring Giselle,) , along with a lot of korean comments. It seemed serious to me, why would Giselle feel the need to make a statement ?

That's true, Giselle did not need to make a statement. Are they actually Korean BLINKS or AESPA antis? Since AESPA are the ones getting the most flak out of this... It's ridiculous...
