AKP ARMY, I ask you this in all sincerity: What are your thoughts on everything that has happened to HYBE this past month?

  • I'm asking ArmyTaglist specifically, because this company would not have been able to exist and expand without your fervent support of BTS back when it was only them and Big Hit.

I've been accused of generalizing and unfairly labeling your fandom in the past, so I actually want to see and hear what your thoughts are on the past month.

We have former HYBE staff getting indicted for insider trading

We have Bang Si-Hyuk getting formally accused of IPO fraud

We have HYBE being surprise audited by the NTS, a team forebodingly referred to as the Grim Reaper

What are your thoughts on HYBE and its leadership today?

Not the groups. Not any individual idols. Just the company.

  • ARMY might be the most loyal, organized, large, and passionate fandom in history. They don’t just support the group’s music, they practically adore the members as individuals. And it seems that the BTS members themselves don’t openly take a stance against the company, either.

  • What I love is the company loving armys being humbled af :pepe-joy:

Those that spent days and even years trying to say how much better hybe was to big 3 :pepe-joy:

Their humbling and embarrassment has been the BEST part of the last few months. I want to tag some very specific very vocal armys but I’m a nice person so I won’t do that. They also seem to have already gone to the dungeon on their own accord so that’s good I guess. :dancer-pepe:

  • What do you guys feel about this? And them being very avid supporters of this oily man?

  • I'm not on the side of the company that's for sure. Any company. And tbh I think a certain chunk of the fandom isn't too if you separate the ones that'll defend Hybe's doings specifically to the ones that protect BH/Hybe rather as Bangtan's legacy. That being said, I'm not going to be blind and pretend I didn't see company defenders and like I don't roll eyes at some of the takes.

The only thing I'm against doing is the dogpiling of every possible situation to be Hybe's doing. It's as lazy as it gets and it's annoying that even voicing that would make look like a company stan. They are guilty. Bang PD is guilty. At minimum of fraud. Mediaplay too but again, the Bang PD glazing and the push of njz hate is probable, saying that they are behind every article negative about other idol is not necessarily true.

Now back to the accusations, I feel like it's even worse as an army that what was built at first with Bangtan's blood sweat and tears ends up spoilt for greed. Even more so as some of the fraud is directly link with BTS and their military service.

(i'm sorry if it's more about management/strategy than fraud but I'm the type to digress lol)

As someone who ults not one but two Hybe groups, it's always hard to decipher what feels like mismanagement/wrong usage and what is exactly that. I think Hybe is a hydra that became too much. They can't even space their groups' comebacks reasonably. The first times I was like ah ok it's just happenstance but it's starting to get comical. They sometimes put the money in interesting/new things but can't even seem to do basic playlisting (for their boy groups mainly). There's also the issue of their channel that's been shadowbanned for ages. Moas are bad youtube streamers so it wasn't obvious but when bangtan members started to get abysmal numbers I was like what? The logical strategy would be to finally let the groups post on their channels, at least the biggest ones but it needs to be under Hybe I guess...

I hope they get humbled. Bang PD needs to step down but like even more. And also to stop posting photos with idols like they're besties and having articles of him about how he looks as good (NOPE). More seriously, a lot of the executives higher up should go. On the contrary, I hope the group's protocol team and closest staff stay.

They need to stop handling this company like it's a game company.

My two ults are in Bighit which is supposedly the most independent out of their labels but like ideally i'd hope they'd be truly more independent?

    Hmmm.

    The silence is defeaning ;judgingpepe:

Personnally I just saw your thread but tbf, I don't think it's as much about not wanting to talk about their sentiment about Hybe but to do that in a Yama thread (no offense kinda?)
