Hey ONCE, where's the TWICE World Tour Thread? I don't see anywhere!

  • Not trolling, this is a serious question.

I just watched some clips of their concert, and I was impressed, but I don't get why no one here made a thread about their tour.

Anyway, if there isn't any, make one or share the fan cams here.

    The 360 stage was dope!

Changed the title of the thread from “HEy ONCE, where's the TWICE conceret Thread? I don't see anywhere!” to “Hey ONCE, where's the TWICE World Tour Thread? I don't see anywhere!”.
  • Thank you for realising how hard our girls worked for that 360 stage.

Us Once, we indeed talk our own language.

And our girls slayed that 360.

  • There's a couple of threads where we share some concert videos but they don't get super high activity since there's only a few of us here. And I think I remember an "official" thread with the announcement but I can't find it now lol.

The 360 stage was a really fresh thing and I feel like they had to do double the work for that. So not only learn the choreos for the new songs but also re-learn the old ones, so that they fit the stage.

I also loved that the floor was interactive and the screens were 3d, it really added to the ambiance!

  • Probably my favourite part of the concert was the break between Moonlight Sunrise with the dancers and the stunning, cinematic music and then them performing Mars and I Got You ✨✨

It starts here around 6:58 or you can watch from the beginning and enjoy the other songs too 😊

  • TWICE practiced for over 8 to 9 hours daily for their "THIS IS FOR" world tour over 7+ weeks. They built a replica of the stage in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, to rehearse with lifts and props, ensuring a polished performance.

Do you know any other groups that can commit that much time to group activities?

Also the key point, any other groups that would WANT to dedicate that much time to group activities?

To make it good means dedicating buckets of money and time to the preparation. Even if they have both, I don't think many companies would be willing to pour that amount of resources into it when normal stage sets would be much cheaper (so better income margins) and easier to prep for all around.

Got to give JYP flowers for suggesting it and putting up the money to make it happen. Yeah its nothing less than Twice deserves, but its not like we've not seen countless kpop companies giving their groups the bare minimum (and sometimes far below that).

It's certainly due to logistical and cost issues. Several groups work incredibly hard, not just Twice.

even without choreo, a 360° center stage trumps the generic kpop stage (stage on one end of the arena/stadium/dome flanked by huge LED screens). Big Bang's most iconic concerts were performed with a center stage with little to no choreo.

As I said before, I love TWICE too, I just don't really like that much their new music anymore.

But hats off for JYP to spending money on the tour, but mostly for the girls, because doing a choreo like this, especially when not all of them are top-tier dancers, is not an easy thing to do, especially while you're singing.

Every time I hear Jihyo sing LIVE, I feel like I want to use JYP as a punching bag for ruining her vocals with autotune.

This is a concert I would actually pay for, but they can't do this in Europe, so...

    I don't understand why more idols/groups don't utilize a 360° stage.

Probably because it's hard to do and it's not cheap either.

I mean, I can name 1 group, but their company is like Santa, only comes once a year, and they don't give them Ferraris. 🤣

Indeed, only a few companies can afford a stage with a live band. However, if cost were not an issue, which group would you envision performing on such a stage?

MAMAMOO built for a stage like that.

I predict they will come to Europe but the show will obviously look different. At least I can get the DVD and enjoy the Korean concerts later in good quality.

I also wanted to share the performance of I Can't Stop Me, because the live band is going CRAZY in this one (especially the guitarist, I literally got chills at the end):

I was lucky to go to their last tour in Berlin and the live band was fantastic, it made a huge difference.

  • I was at their show in 02 Arena in London. We had to beg them to sing a Japanese song. But Nabongz went and roll the wheel exactly to our song. Perfect World. Now watch Jihyo going wtf :)
