The entire MV is giving uncanny valley. Like I'm thinking if they girls were even in the same room together to film the MV.

yea I'm not generally against AI but this is coming from the biggest group in the game so it's sending a bad message and could end up resulting with AI slop being further normalized.
I really don't wanna be a debby downer on the day of BPs first comeback in 3 years but the MV is just a big disappointment, a HUGE departure from their usual MVs which always boasted a lack of CGI and custom sets, and is sort of representative of this entire comeback. That is, it seems extremely rushed.

Personally, I hate AI in general.
But, I didn't know they used that much for BP's MV because my eyes are not that observant when it comes to differentiating what's real and what's fake.
I also hope it doesn't become the norm, but, sadly, it already seems like KPOP has been taking that route.

The AI use is horrible, and a real stain on the MV. Not everything the OP mentions is AI though. In the running scene for example, it’s all the streets in the background rather than the girls themselves (unless I am mistaken).
As mentioned in the other thread, I really think big companies should avoid AI because it is a race to the bottom. As soon as you’re using AI to generate your video, artwork or songs, the quality of your content is no better than what anyone can type into the same generators. YG have the means to make a much superior human-made product so they should not be cutting corners like this.

The comedic elements are great. Overall I think the MV is goofy and wild and lots of fun. It’s just set in front of a terrible AI city. They could have used traditional CGI to do the city, but instead they cheaply used AI and it’s a much worse final product as a result.

are we sure all of it is AI though? because I don't know if I were Dave Meyers I wouldn't risk it with using AI. I mean he is a respected director. But I do agree with the AI thing if it was used I'm personally against it

Honestly, I think ALL these big companies are doing/going to do AI just to prove they can. It's the first step on the slippery slope.

Prove they can? Resurrecting dinosaurs is an achievement, even if it's a bad idea. Using AI is not. Anyone with the necessary computing power can do it. All it proves is that you were too cheap to hire actual artists.
