Are Katseye Idols?

How does one define an "idol?" That needs to be your starting point.

I'm still not convinced it's accurate to think of them as an American group, but if you do, then that pretty much answers the question, because we don't have "idols."

What would be the argument for them not being idols? They were trained under the idol system and are promoted as idols. Seems pretty straightforward.

They are idols, even Recodring Academy called them kpop. So even non kpop related people think them as kpop.
