Blinks, will you be happy and satisfied if BLACKPINK return with only 1 song after 3 years?

  • Will you be happy and satisfied if BLACKPINK return with only 1 song after being away for 3 years? 9

The result is only visible to the participants.

My last BP thread was deleted for showing empathy towards Blinks, so I'll put Blinks here in the driver's seat and control the narrative instead.

Please share how you feel, instead of someone else telling you how you feel.

  • Vote. Even though you're not a Blink ;judgingpepe:

The thing is I kinda treat the group as a hiatus group if they don't release any more new song it's like....expected

Like f(x) or RV if they don't ever release any songs I'll expect it and be ok with it

It's actually a bit shocking they have a song I didn't think they would come together to even sing in the studio together. Maybe they didn't maybe they just sang their own parts on separate days

I mean, they are a hiatus group. What's the difference between BP and SNSD at this point? They rarely ever promote as a group and the members are busy with their individual activities.

The ONLY difference is that BP are doing this tour, but who knows when the next one will be?

  • that's true but hindsight is 20/20

how does one know which is a graceful high or a bittersweet ending unless one sticks around?

If you leave on a high note, you don't have to wonder if you would have potentially overstayed your welcome. It's the Michael Jordan storybook ending to his Chicago Bulls career (ignore the two Washington Wizards years for now).

AKA the sistar endin. It was perfect, left on a high and they all moved on and gave fans closure. Came back once for a random performance but thats it.

    Also Wonder Girls.

Those queens came back with a band concept, dropped a top 5 album in K-Pop history and then ended their era with a chart topping PAK hit song.

true but again how does one know that the end is the peak and such peak cannot peak any further

in kpop and otherwise there are groups that continue to peak and succeed even higher than before

in your example if MJ retired after this first three-peat that would be a great career and no one would have said anything otherwise since at that time we didn't know he could have or would have his second three-peat since if he didn't have his second three-peat people would have said damn he left on a high

same with LBJ he could have retired after winning in Cleveland and that would have been leaving on a high but then we wouldn't have his championship at the lakers which is further success in his career.

back to kpop now ...who is to say this is BP's peak or was it pink venom and shutdown BP's peak - no one knows until after the fact

which is always why I said hindsight is 20/20 you cannot judge something with the benefit of hindsight

  • One doesn't know. There isn't a science to knowing exactly when it's time to hang it up and take a step back from the spotlight compared to your peak years. So many great athletes struggle with that exact conundrum.

But what is universal is that everyone wants to leave on a high, and if BP only return with 1 new track after 3+ years, I personally consider that a whimper and not a bang.

I can very confidently say that if Mamamoo return this year (they've been gone as a group just as long) with only 1 new song, I would be disappointed.

it's not just athletes but they are some of the more noticeable since we see their performance and their slow? but sure decline

even musical artists are the same I keep hearing about how poor both from a music perspective and sales/charting perspective katie perrry is doing compared to someone like Taylor Swift who is going up and up

again back to kpop if after three years BP comes back with only one then yes as a fan I did say I'm disappointed and not that satisfied but I would say I would be more disappointed if this was their last horrah

whether this will be their last horrah will only be know after the fact which is why I said I'll take what I can get
