I am unsure about the same audience, but I agree that there's a lot of overlap between LSF and Katseye. I just think there are some fans outside of kpop fandom following the group which could explain the increase in streams. I guess the real test for them is to see how well their album sales performs in North America.

They're marketed as a global girl group, so no not really. But some people put them in the realm of kpop due to HYBE being their company.

Wut? Literally Aespa had the exact same Spotify numbers with Whiplash (2.5 million on Spotify counter peak). This isnt a Hybe payola thing unless you want to accuse Kakao-SM of payolaing Aespa too?

This is a Kpop fanbase thing on Global Spotify. 1.5 -2.5 million is the range for 99 percent of Kpop group peaks. If you hit 3M or more like Blackpink, BTS and New Jeans, you've crossed over into a more mainstream audience.
