Haven't people realized yet that the BLACKPINK members are over K-Pop?

Why would anyone be into “kpop” it’s restrictive and controlling and niche.

Like for example look at new jeans they’re a great example of being over kpop and following its restrictive ways. Hence why they are trying to break away from its usual ways.

The only ppl who will stay in the kpop bubble are those who don’t have prospects outside of it. This is common.

Hopefully you will get over BlackPink soon and stop talking about them, i don't even like BlackPink but it's getting annoying

lisa definitely. jennie will still probably do variety shows in korea from time to time. jisoo is just gonna keep killing zombies on netflix and rose hopefully lands more movie ost stuff like that f1 movie which looks like it will be a hit since it's directed by the same dude that did top gun maverick but yeah, they probably feel like they don't have anything to prove as a group anymore

They spend 7 years as BP ready to give their all, release as much music as they could and yge failed them, but different from a lot of groups they have massive solo fandom and star factor to still live their dream as artists.

I don't blame them neither I think it's exactly getting out of kpop, they are just doing their best to have a long career without kpop companies restrictions.

Lisa never needed SK so her path was obvious, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo will still keep the kpop with them as they are big in SK so anyways, I hope your BP complex ends soon

Of course they're over kpop. They just had successful solo ventures and now being forced into group activities.

I’m curious do they really think they’ll really be able to break into the western pop mainstream? I don’t think so. It doesn’t matter how big their individual fanbase is or how successful they are. They might survive in the West, but I don’t think that alone will bring them true satisfaction.

They can break through. I don't know if they will. Lisa suffers from a credibility issue. Jennie doesn't have the long term appeal to have staying power out here. Rose has the best opportunity to rise and thrive. I'd bet money on her

It's funny you think i care if you make posts about Twice, i am not as invested as you in kpop so you can do whatever post you want about Twice, maybe take a break from kpop until NewJeans come backs in 5 years, if they ever come back

Money aside, i dont think they are above BP. Alone they are too mediocre to be there. Yes, they did some cool music but thats it, and is always the guest artists who shine more. My point is, from what i have seen so far, i think the four can offer more as a group than individually.

I agree and disagree at the same time with this.

True, the guest artists have outshone the Pinkies in most if not all their collabs but, I feel like they are trying to find their right place as soloists so it's going to take some time for them to settle in and completely own the scene regardless of which guest artists they work with.

Anything they do as BLACKPINK from this point on is out of a final obligation to their fans, but you can just tell they're over it and have no intention to return back to the K-Pop bubble.

It's just human nature. They already peaked as a group, but they're just starting to figure out their potential as individual pop stars. And we can expect Jisoo will continue to focus primarily on acting.

It will be ten years in 2026. That is a respectable run.

BLACKPINK members will thrive, but BLACKPINK the group is pretty much running on fumes. It may get one last gasp of air this year and that's probably it. The girls are in a different phase of their careers.

Black Pink as a group still has much to offer but I don't see them prioritize it over their solo careers.

BLACKPINK are clearly over it all.

Over it is different from having the luxury to prioritize what you want and still be relevant.

Also BP always gave very limited content and still had a tonne of fans so like I don’t think much has changed for them.
