Do you remember the old days of Allkpop

I dunno. I think it's natural that people change, communities change, the site changes. It's something we have to cope with.

I'm really glad to see this thread lol I just made an account today since I've been getting back into kpop after about 9-10 years. However back in 2011-2013ish I was super active on these forums! Only at this time I was a kid with an edgy username and posted a lot of ragebait so I would much rather not become known on this site for being a brat again lol

I totally forgot about this site until today so it’s funny seeing this post. I was around for a while before the site changed to a new server”somehow remembered my old username” I made so many friends here I still keep up with but miss users like funnyguy69, phoenixvfire and that one guy that kept getting banned all the time something tomato….good times🥲

What a throwback, it was a lot more active, the comeback threads were so funn. A teaser would drop and everyone would be out of their minds posting. But there were a lot of passive aggressive response threads made back then, and a lot more fandom fights I think.
Feels to me that all the people left and joined Reddit instead

I miss Blue2012

I don't really remember anything at all about the dynamics of this forum back then.
I got into Kpop in October 2012 and I'm pretty sure I had an account here in 2013 (when I was creating my account yesterday, my main Google Account wasn't avalaible, which is probably an indication that I had an account here, but I don't remember my username, neither if I had made a single post).
Starting in 2015 I wasn't keeping up with East Asian pop culture anymore, but in 2018 I started to get back into some groups and dramas pre-2015, and only now, 2025, I listened to the last 3 albums from SNSD, ironically the first group I got into.
So many years without keeping up with the news from East Asian pop music means that I'm not familiarized at all with groups that debuted in 2015 till today.
I feel like an old dude that only know the songs from "his time", but I will make up for the lost time.
I wish I had participated more here back then, but at the same time I was a very toxic and immature person in my teens (I was 15 when I got into Kpop), so I would probably not be the best user.
