I think they might release a single before going on tour but not an album. I think their goal is to tour with their new solos. They have better chance of having big stadiums sold out as a group.

I'm skipping this tour if they only release one new song as a group. Not at the inevitably sky high price points you'll have to pay for a good seat
One new song is likely all that happens, and that's straight out of the YG playbook to over promise and under deliver.

It's already April. Wasn't the tour supposed to begin in MAY? Or sometime in the next couple of months?
Logistically speaking, there is hardly enough time to do anything BUT tour.

correct me if I'm wrong but Blackpink tour starts in June- wait nvm I checked and it starts July 5 in sk so its like 2-3 (ish) months until then. imo, they won't release but like 2-3 songs as a mini album or sum

Well they're definitely not dropping anything in April or that would be getting teased by now.
If we hear nothing in May, things really start to look bleak, because it leaves very little runway for full album promotions AND preparing for a new tour.

This is kind of a nightmare scenario.
If I wanted to enjoy their solo work, then I want a full concert of ONLY their solo work like Jennie's RUBY experience.
And if I go to a BLACKPINK tour, I want there to at least be a new album of music to enjoy since their Born Pink tour.
This is setting up for a half baked combination of the two.
K-Pop concerts aren't cheap, and BP's are some of the most expensive.
I have very little faith in YG.
I don't expect any new music from BP or BTS, but for special occasions like anniversaries, return from enlistments etc.,
But they will keep the appearances of being a group still, because that is necessary to keep the fandom engaged in their solo careers.
They won't risk losing large parts of fandom by officially disbanding, 1 or 2 can continue to have a strong career if they official disband. Others won't.
But as a group they might still tour, guest for other solos, feature etc.,
New music as a whole group will get rarer

I'm not gonna hold out hope for a new album, but I'll be really surprised if they are going into a tour without ANY new music. Unless they are planning to lean heavily into the solo stuff which would be odd imo.
