SEULGI - Baby Not Baby - Bop or Flop?

The Catwoman of this era arrived!

She's my baby, but not a baby, that's for sure!😅

"Baby, Not Baby" is a decent Title Track, the Bridge is superb, the Chorus is addictive, but overall it's not the best produced song, and it needs time to grow on me! I get the censoring in the MV, but not in the original song! It makes zero sense! If you can't release a song with swearing, don't do it at all!

"Better Dayz" starts out great with its Alternative Pop-Rock vibe, but the Outro was totally unnecessary, and ruined the song, basically. Could've been the best track without the last part! Sometimes, less is more.

"Rollin' (With My Homies)" is a decent RnB song, but production wise, there wasn't anything that stand out other than her voice.

"Whatever" is a nice, and chill medium tempo RnB, but again, nothing extraordinary.

"Praying" is probably the best produced song on the album. The slow tempo RnB track with her dreamy voice is a perfect example how you should make a good RnB song! It's superior compared to the other ones.

"Weakness" is another good, slower Pop song (co-written by Seulgi), and my second favorite on the EP.

Overall, her new album was above-average, but I feel like they should've done more genres, because 3 RnB was a bit too much, especially because half of those were not well-produced, and it's not easy to make a great RnB album without much versatility.

The Catwoman didn't save the day, but no one died either! 😹
