    Kiiikiii debuted but it seems there are no members who will threaten Jang Wonyoung's position in Starshit.


    However, it appears Carmen, from Indonesia, and Ian, a former child model, will give a huge run on the money over SM's current darling, Yoo Jimin.


    Carmen seems to be popular with Indonesian fans but also some other international fans, while ian has the kind of face Koreans like.


    I personally think within this year, Carmen and/or Ian will probably give Karina a huge run of money and Yoo Jimin will have to fight very hard to maintain her domination of SM as well as other fans, since these two appear to be capable of overcoming the Yoo Jimin domination of SM.

    Yoona used to stay as main girl from SM until Irene took over and Karina took over Irene mantle quickly because of gapjil + NL is huge hit one year after. Unless there's another scandal besides dating, it might need to take a while + h2h need to have national hit song first at least 'Red Flavor' level before this topic being brought out.

    Everything can happen, and I genuinely wish all h2h girls to succeed(if they put out more songs like butterfly and not “the chase” I will stan them as I do with most SM groups), but it will be nearly impossible to overcome Karina’s popularity be it in Korea or in the world.


    This is a hot take and I will probably get stones thrown at me, but Karina is the most popular idol that SM ever produced. In Korea I still think Taeyeon and probably YoonA are bigger than her because of their legacy and solo careers, but overall Karina is their biggest idol ever. She’s equally crazy popular in China(most popular 4th gen idol in China) and very popular in Japan and SEA(especially at Carmen’s home country Indonesia). She also has both male(around 40%) and female(around 60%) following and plus huge lgbtq+ following in Korea. She also has the biggest fandom among 4th gen female idols.


    And we have seen her power with GP, when she speedran into 1 on Melon top100 in just 5 hours, with her unpromoted 4 month old concert solo with 2 day prior notice about release. Or how she sold out 24.5k capacity baseball stadium, and next 3 games were sold 90%+ because of her and etc. etc…


    And she is also popular as a variety star/entertainer, not just as an idol. She gave the highest ratings to the show when she became a permanent host at SynchroU season 2. Or how her episode at Lee Youngji’s drinking show became the most watched YT video in Korea in 2023….


    So my point is even if Carmen or Ian becomes as popular or more as Karina it will be hard for them to beat her on every single metric.


    Like I said, she- has a huge fandom, has a GP following, is a variety star, crazy popular in other countries, she is even the most shipped female idol and she didn’t branch out as solo artist yet. And of course she is a member of Aespa.


    In order for them to overcome Karina, at minimum their group should be A-tier, they should have a big solo fandom, they should be popular in and out of Korea, be popular in different fields of entertainment and some other things.

    Not really. Winter doesn’t have the biggest solo fandom. Karina has. She has the highest sales among the members in terms of albums, and she sells out her exclusive albums the first and the most. And she consistently has 1m+ views with at least 3-4 fancams every era, which her solo fandom can stream. Her viral fancams usually get more than 2m views, while her solo fandom can stream her fancam into 1m and the fancam views stops to grow. Karina is the most biased in the group be it in Korea, Japan, China, SEA or US.


    Even their Ig followers show a huge difference.

    I think Ian will be the most pushed as she’s the center’( maybe Ana too giving opportunities) and Carmen will be very popular as Sea idols always are but Jiwoo and specifically Yuha are getting the most praised. Yuha is also the all rounder, top singer, top dancer and great stage presence :oops:


    Just on Pan alone Yuha has 4 or more articles talking about her visuals and talent (same about Ian tbh but I wonder if the accusations may slow that down or speed up as Karina went through the same thing :oops:

    -winter cbars is getting bombed by ot3 akgaes in china so we can't really determined the real number of winter's

    - how much they sells mds & goods

    - how expensive their pocas is

    - how many their fansites are

    Karina’s Cbar is the biggest, and she has the record of most bought albums by 4th gen idol.


    Also when she sells magazines, or is announced as a brand ambassador, Karina has the highest ratings not only among Aespa members but among all 4th gen idols. She has the highest 1st hour sells of magazine among 4th gen idols(which shows fandom power, cuz gp doesn’t buy those magazines in the 1st second and hour).


    Again, I followed fancam views of aespa members for some time and I noticed that Karina fans speed ran her fancam views in the first few days, and after it reached 1m views then it stops to grow usually. That is not the case with other girls in Aespa.


    Also, even if IG followers show the popularity, the gap is too big to not consider her fandom power.

    When she goes to fashion shows she has the highest spams on twitter even reaching 1m+ tweets trending which shows her fandom power.


    She also gets highest streams among members. An example: Winter and Karina are most popular members in Thailand. Usually Winter’s solo fandom can do 70-100k jumps on streams on Spotify Thailand. But Karina fans can do 150-200k jumps on Spotify Thailand.


    She recently sold her Puss Puss magazine in China. And in 39 minutes she made 200k$+ revenue, which shows her fandom power(it was limited edition before general sale which gp didn’t know)

    Again you still don't grasp the difference of between popularity and fandom power. Winter has biggest fandom power doesn't mean Karina has weak fandom power. I just want to pointed out that "Big fandom power is not neccesary the keys to become IT girl, Big Popularity is the key"


    Even rival company that obsessed with aespa aka Hybe know how much winter fandom power and compare it to top SM popular male idol. This is already enough statement to prove it that she has the biggest
