PLAVE 'Dash' debut at Melon #5, all songs debut in top 15 of Melon, ending all 5th Gen BGs

  • I'm too much of a boomer to understand the appeal of VR characters but the song isn't bad so ..

I'm just happy seeing Woodz still charting :meme-happy-cry:

I'm saying this as a fact

Drowning is one of THE BEST SOLO KPOP SONGS EVER

Here is a bonus video of Noah covering Drowning

  • PLAVE did what MAVE and SM couldn't.

SM has been trying hard af to make the whole AI/VR idol thing work since AESPA debuted, but it never really stuck.

Now, PLAVE is blowing 90% of boy groups out of the water. A group that will never grow old. A group that will probably never have a "live" controversy. Only thing that could probably take them down is if another VR group starts to blow up, or if one of the people in the background gets in trouble. Which already happened, and didn't affect anything.

The main difference is that PLAVE are real people

    The AI Maeve is not

They lack the human and emotional connect with fans that PLAVE have

    Possibly!

Doesn't explain why fans can't connect with AE though.

The same argument can be made for Naevis though in regards to her being an amalgamation and not real like PLAVE.

ugh.. they do grow old and they can have live controversies. in fact there's a lot of videos of them singing badly and some have blown up (bamby)

  • When such happened for LYW,

Acned teen girl Kpop fans blamed the Korean Ajhummas, Wonder who will be blamed for Plave?

Virtual dols - then bots as fandoms would be apt.

Yes, the people playing them do grow old.

Honestly, I said that before I realized that fans are actually attached to the people behind the characters too. In my mind, I figured they could just switch out the person behind, but after reading this thread, I'm realizing fans would not like that. AT ALL.

As for the lives, I didn't know about that. So, yeah.

  • except bamby (bjoo) isn't a bad singer however he was known for his dancing and being a sub vocalist. So he's not bad he's just a better dancer. People are just nitpicking everything.

i don't know what else to say

Yeah bad days happen and I'm pointing out that he's not a bad singer u specifically posted about bamby who is b-joo. I was just giving examples on how he's not that bad. *shrugs* people want a reason to hate them and they are in fact, nitpicking.

you seem like the type of person to have a "hot men" catalog.

literally every single idol you stan/post is incredibly good looking to the point that i'm actually beginning to doubt that they are real.

yea that's because his was the one that blew up

i remember watching one of their livestreams where all of them sang pretty badly too(think it was way 4 luv)

people find a lot of stupid reasons to hate the group but it's a fact that they can have live issues and that was my original point anyways

Yeah, I get that, and I'm not denying that live issues happen. My point was just that people take one bad clip and run with it as if it defines his entire ability, which feels unfair. Criticism is fine, but a lot of the discourse ends up being nitpicking rather than constructive.
