The eagerly awaited debut members of the girl group born from the collaboration between BMSG and CHANMINA for the "No No Girls" audition were revealed on January 12, following a thrilling final event held on January 11 at K Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa. The "No No Girls" audition received an overwhelming response, with over 7,000 applications from around the world, including Japan, South Korea, and the United States. The final round of the audition saw an impressive turnout, with ticket applications reaching over 50,000, prompting the addition of a one-time live stream of the event.
The seven girls selected for the group are CHIKA, NAOKO, JISOO, YURI, MOMOKA, KOHARU, and MAHINA. Their group has been named HANA, a title chosen by CHANMINA, who explained that the name symbolizes a flower that blooms after enduring hardships. In addition to their group’s debut, several important announcements were made during the event. HANA will perform the song "Drop" as part of their pre-debut activities. Their major debut under Sony Music Labels is set for spring 2025. They will also hold debut events in Osaka and Saitama in March, with tickets for these events available for pre-order until January 23.
