Why did so many minorities in America voted republican?

  • Honestly barely any.. I think the majority voted against him but he really won white males and a decent chunk of white females.

The biggest issue is that a lot of democrats just didnt turn out.

Democrats take their voters for granted and republicans are targeting that.

First of all, I just want to clear up the fact that the only major demographic groups that voted more for Trump were white men and women and Latino men. I'm not saying you are necessarily, but I see an alarming number of people blaming certain minority groups for Trumps victory, when that is really not what we should be taking away from this. Instead blaming the voters, we should be holding Kamala's team accountable.

Does Kamala being non-white and a woman make a difference? Of course, but that is not THE reason she lost. She lost because she ran a bad campaign. So much of her campaign was about women's rights and look how white women voted. That's because they do not care, just like they do not care that he is a criminal/ra(c/p)ist/narcissist or whatever. So many white women will prioritize their race over their gender, but that's a whole other topic of conversation.

As the user above me wrote, inflation has been insane recently and people were convinced Biden was to blame. Kamala didn't successfuly distance herself from him, and at first wasn't even trying to. She alienated progressives with her stances on immigration and Israel, and she couldn't address the economic concerns of centrists. Values such as religion, social conservatism are not irrelevant but completely overemphasized. What does the average American want? More money in their wallets.

Yep AOC and Other democrats have comeout and said that maybe lets not blame the groups that always come out and vote.. and vote for democrats.. maybe instead focus on why white people stopped voting for democrats instead..

    Bernie released a good statement.

I think something democrats are failing at is promoting its own like left leaning podcasts or streams.. the right have all these podcasts and the republican machine promote and spread that while democrats hate its left wing version of that and never promote.

  • many "liberals" on reddit and twitter got exposed after the election result. Blatant racist and blamed everything on POC audience without reflecting themselves why majority of POC voted for Trump this time. I considered myself left-lean centrist but lets face it: The left are no better. They've become too extreme and refuse to take any critism, exactly like the "rednecks" they always look down on. And the pretentious, fakeass way of using celebrities like Eminem or CardiB only make it worse. They're so out of touch to reality. It's not 2008 anymore, people won't get fooled by Obama-esque type of PR bullshit again.

  • The response of liberals/Wokes are on predictable lines- Kamala lost because half of America hates women, hates black, are Nazis etc.,

As long as they keep this attitude and pin everything upon identity and morals, they will keep facing backlash. It is not that racism, misogyny does not exist, but they are not the top factors when compared to economy, concern about jobs, about future of their children.

DNC keeps running to abortion as its "trump" card, but it is massive delusion to assume ordinary people -even women prioritize that, as though parents 100% expect their young daughters will need abortion.

And Trump team did a good job of sticking to the message that they have no intentions of Federal ban and it is all up to each state.

Democrats have been losing the narrative since 2016, Bernie Sanders was the only on who was clued in and they blocked him.

Even 2020, Trump had a strong showing, despite BLM and Covid handling, the Democrats victory was razor thin.

They thought they could win by throwing J6, but they have been calling him "illegitimate" and "Russian puppet" since 2016, that diluted the message.

Same with indictment, instead of doing 1 or 2 solid cases, throwing 100+ cases at him, was only seen as vindictive lawfare and people learning how they leaned on Social Media to suppress Hunter Bidens affair, diluted that as well.

US politics is strange. Every 50-100 years the parties completely change roles.

It was the Republican party which emancipated slaves, when Democrats were against it.

But in the last few decades, Democrats had become the party of the PoCs, poor etc.,

Now it is changing again, Democrats have become college educated elitist virtue signalers, while RNC is seen as more worker friendly even among PoCs.

RNC had a massive reset with Trump, DNC needs such a reset - Clintons, Obama, Biden, Pelosi etc., are pointless. They have some good talent in Shapiro, Buttigieg etc., But instead if the Woke-Squad captures DNC, then they are in for a long exile.

What won him the election was the massive shift in the latino vote. In 2020, Biden won 65% on their vote. This year Kamala only won 53% vs 45% for Trump (a 13% increase from 2020). His share of black votes increased as well. Trump won 20% of the black vote compared to 10% in 2020.

  • It's not really accurate to say liberal minorities shifted to trump, the sheer numbers say a lot of them didn't show up at all

Voter turnout is down by 20 million and both parties lost voters compared to 2020

Voter turnout is not down by 20M. In 2020, the total votes cast was 158,397,726. The current vote total is 143,084,501 with still millions of ballots still being counted. Just California alone: so far 55% of the ballots have been counted, so there's still roughly 8M votes to process. Arizona still has 31% of their ballots to count. Utah 32%. Colorado 22%. Oregon 23%. Washington state 22%. Alaska 24%.

No what won him the election was winning white votes so hard.

The latino vote rise was mostly in Florida/Texas which were always going red.

You need to look at swing states where she heavily under performed with white young males.

At least here in Michigan the major swing from Black and Arabic voters tipped our state in his favor. Michigan is typically blue.

She underperformed in every demographic compared to 2020.

  • It's the same tendency as in Sweden. The ones the was the core voters for the Swedish Socialdemocrates, the white working class, have shifted to the extreme right and started voted for SD (Sweden Democrats) that are against immigration and have a nationalistic profile. The Socialdemocrates are still by far the biggest party, but don't have possibility do rule by themself anymore like they had in the 80ies.

  • Liberal media works hard on erasing Asians (esp. men) and promoting stereotypes about them, while loving to use Asia as a backdrop for their shitty movies and shows with the perfect white guy as a lead hero. Coupled with many policies (DEI, lenience on crime, refusal to properly address hate crimes against Asians happening en masse) endorsed by Democrats that directly hurt Asian voters, no wonder this kind of shit led to resentment and many switching to Republicans (or, most frequently, deciding not to vote at all) who are at least racist in your face, instead of preaching tolerance and then not-so-subtly promoting hateful messages behind your back.

Similarly, Democrats did not do much for Latino, Native American, etc. communities, the only minority that was specifically targeted by them were Black people with e.g. Kamala specifically talking about policies designed to uplift Black men. That, and the hypocritical support for the on-going genocide in Gaza while acting as moral police on other conflicts, sealed the deal.

Overall, however, it is not so much that the minorities voted for Republicans, many decided not to vote at all because both candidates were piles of junk - one is the most generic pro-corporate and pro-establishment NPC, the other is a total POS with lunatic policies. Choice without a choice 3rd time in a row, the beauty of a two party "democracy".

  • It is pretty simple, Democrats and liberals all across the world leaned too much into identity politics and were met with rejection all across the globe.

Liberals for a while used to be these reasonable common sense people while conservatives used fo be religious freaks. But in the last 10 years it flipped 180 for both sides. Liberals now are basically all into into religious cult of lgbt, die and identity. While the new right is actually less religious, more reasonable, more common sense.

I was seeing so many articles, posts and thinkpieces that "Trump pissed all women off" that even Republican women were gonna vote for Kamala because of the abortion issues. It is all comedy now.

Also most reasonable people including myself are pro gestational limits. For some countries it is 12 weeks, for some it is 17 weeks. Only crazies on both sides either argue for a complete ban on abortion or abortion up until the birth. Like if you can abort a baby one week before the birth then why can't you kill a week old infant? It is crazy that some people think life beging at conception and some that it beging when baby comes out of vagina. Most of us recognize that it is somewhere in between.
