It increasingly seems BTS' next come back will be a whimper

  • For the 1,345th time, I will say that those who said BTS should serve in the military so they would have a 'longer career' are people who failed arithmetic at grade school.

The people who shouted for ot7 which led Jungkook to prematurely enlist have hurt bts decisively.

I wrote a piece that Seokjin and Yoongi should have left the group for some time, make the other 5 tour the world, silence Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar and others, and only rejoin after their services ended. That piece disappeared but it seems I have had a point.

Now Roseanne Park, MBE, is ready to whip BTS along with the rest of BlackPink, before BTS has a chance to advance to the world, while the rebellion started by Min Heejin, which would NEVER have taken place of BTS were strong, is ricocheting everywhere , threatening the entire Hybe edifice and making SVT, who was never that happy to be put under the Hybe camp since it could survive on its own, very upset.

It does not help that Hybe's most promising new act, TWS, is under the Pledis label, while Illit's recent comeback fizzled.

If JK were there, MHJ would not have rebelled, and this rebellion is heading to a direction even MHJ probably did not expect. Now Roseanne Park, MBE, is stomping over KPop like King Kong with a nonKPop song (no Koreans involved), the end of KPop is now a close possibility and I don't think BTS' comeback, which can only occur in the 4th qtr of 2025, will be supported with much less enthusiasm, with few Hybe acts except probably txt and Illit supporting it

If Roseanne Park, MBE, decides to launch a head on fight against BTS during its comeback, now there is no guarantee that BTS will win.

And too much has been revealed for some members to continue their trust with Hybe. I think RM and Seokjin will stay with Hybe to the very end but I now can't say the same for others.

  • As long as they are 7, the immediate comeback will be a massive success.

But after that, I don't see them peaking further, but plateau and trend down.

Given that Taehyung is sympathizing with MHJ I don't think OT7 will last for too long

and even if not it cannot get back what it lost by listening to Korean opinion, about $5 billion conservatively. Even if it operates for the next 10 years it won't see 1 bil

  • English isn't really my first language aaand what is whimper? It doesn't sound good :/

This is the way the world ends

Not with a bang but a whimper.

    - the last lines of the American poet T.S. Eliot's Hollow Man, about the end of world.

Confused :/ Is Rosé not Korean? 😂

I am pretty sure I have been a good Blackpink fan and she is definitely a Korean-Australian/New Zealander

She helped write the song and is even listed first under the list of songwriters

Roseanne Park, MBE, is a citizen of New Zealand who accepted the Order of British Empire from King Charles III

    So she is not Korean.

She used her Korean nickname, which is not legal or anything, Park Chaeyoung as the songwriter to make some people confuse that this song is Korean, but there are no Koreans involved at this song at all.

Um excuse me, I’m American because I’m an American citizen who was born here but I’m also ethnically Chinese. Are you saying I’m not Chinese??? :pepe-hips:

  • I don't know your situation so I won't comment on yours, but Roseanne did not involve any Korean in her song so Apt. is not KPop.

Roseanne IS a Korean and she was involved in her song! Whether you want to call it Kpop is up for debate, but stop saying that she’s not Korean!

You know what, you are probably the most racist person on this forum, and that’s *REALLY* saying something!!

  • We will have to wait until 2026 to know
