Jungkook auditioned for Superstar K using IU's song in 2011 so ARMYs know he's a fan. He revealed he was her ideal type when he was asked in a variety show called Flower Crew way back in 2016.

In that JK was largely correct when he posted "Artists are not guilty".
But what agencies can do with artists and their opinions, is an entire different story

The jokes were far few, than the filth.
And I thought it was toxic fans, but now I wonder if BH played a part and played the fans too.
They didn't turn manipulating overnight with NJ, these dirty tricks are habits.
Ofc SM/YG already had the reputation, but BH wasn't much suspected of having a dirty tricks department.
But now that is out in the open.
