Then why do people here and elsewhere continue to give any kind of credibility to this list?
I've been calling it fraudulent for as long as it's been around, and yet it still gets used as bait for fanwars like it's a legitimate ranking, and it also gets regularly posted both on the AKP main site and on these forums.
I know this has been discussed before, but it's getting a much bigger spotlight now, which is what I'm calling attention to--I know the more experienced K-Pop fans know this shit is rigged.

probably because the creator at least does and follows some searches
the only thing which 'stinks' there is when Idol is acting/has dating news/there is rumor about idol leaving group etc.
overall when some shady shenanigans are happening and they are counted 'up' and boosting ones ranking level
btw I've asked many times should I do my/our own akp brand ranking basing it more on groups/soloists who made comeback, and the impact of it, but there weren't much people interested

It's run by one person, whose dubious methods for ranking groups' brand values and clearly be bought and paid for

I think we've been the only two consistantly bringing up how rigged, corrupt and stupid brand rankings are.
I also think people are just going to ignore this, and sure as the sun rises tomorrow, the next time a batch gets released, they'll be posted here and crowed about as if they are gospel.

I get gaslit every time I talk about it.
I get told that's it stale tea and everyone knows it's rigged.
But then I see some of those same people referencing it and linking it as a "gotcha" moment in fanwars, even here.
Outside of AKP, of course, it's even worse. Some people, ARMY, actually use these lists as proof NewJeans' brand is ruined or declined in Korea, even as they secure the biggest brand deals of any active group and are plastered all over every Billboard in Seoul.

KPL used to swear by it. Think it was ironclad.

I have never been happy when even my favs top it, because the rest of the list is always pure nonsense. I don't see how any even casual fan of K-Pop can look at the list and thinks it's remotely accurate.
Meanwhile I've been wanting this list to go away for years. Yet despite the mountain of evidence that it's just rigged PR for the highest bidders, people seem to value this thing even more now than they did back in the day.
