Interesting how both parties consider people who are against genocide as "angry radicals". Whether Shapiro is VP or not, it's symbolic. Trump and Kamala will continue the pro-Zionist policies that US had for decades.

Shapiro would be great to win Pennsylvania, but Walz is generally well-liked in the rust belt so has more general appeal (and yes, he's not Jewish, so he wouldn't piss off the leftist wing of the Democratic party - it's sad that this needs to be considered now but that's the world). Walz is an ex-teacher, pro-union and has an everyman quality that people like.

I mean if he becomes the VP nominee I expect people to drag up whatever they can find on him too, but at the end of the day, it all seems stupid considering the Republican candidate is literally a convicted felon, there's fraud, sexual harrassment and all kinds of other shit on him and he's as popular as ever with Republican voters. So "oh no he voted against this good policy at one point" seems kinda ridiculous compared to THAT. I feel like democratic voters would like their candidate to be morally flawless according to all their individual standards of morality while Republican voters just want someone to shit on immigrants and women. Hence why the Republican party seems so much more united.

I am a Democrat. I just think it's messed up that his own party was bringing up his entire record for flaws (when you can do that any politician) and making up reasons to discount him.

because he's a narcissist who doesn't listen to his advisors. Nikki Haley would have been a great choice, she appeals to the more moderate voters, she's a WOC, she would have worked well as a counter argument to Kamala. She would have looked like a signal that Trump is willing to put his ego aside for "the country" or whatever, since she ran against him in the primaries.

that's why she would have been a good choice. She appealed to different voters and it would have sent a signal hat he can look past his own ego (but ofc he can't. I mean look at what happened to Mike Pence, dude barely survived). In the primaries they always drag the other candidates, JD Vance also used to be outspoken anti-Trump. Harris originally ran against Biden in 2020. Haley basically endorses Trump now anyway, the Republicans always fall in line.
