Wow. We were just talking about Rosé and her music yesterday! DMV2DMZ
Synchronicity! Got chills while listening to the vocal!! I would have never expected Rosé to cover this particular song! It’s on brand and cool! The song reminds me of the cyclical nature of time.

Per wiki:
Pachinko follows four generations of a Korean family, starting from 1915 to 1989. In 1931, Sunja leaves her family in Korea under Japanese rule, to move to the Koreatown of Osaka, Japan, and start a new life there. The series details the living conditions and discrimination of Korean immigrants in Japanese society..
Never watched it myself, but I have friends and family that rave about it
The book is about 4 generations of Korean living in under Japanese rule in Korea and then living in Japan as koreans during WWII and after. Largely centered around Sunja (gen 2) very fast paced, best book I've read this year but the ending could have been better😭
I think you'll find it interesting, Christianity comes up quite a bit
Thanks both of you. It does sound more interesting than I thought. I give it a try after finishing The Flower of Evil.

Rosé Update
“I am so honored to have been invited to sing the trailer anthem for @AppleTV Pachinko season 2 - the heartbreaking but heart warming story of Pachinko told by the admirable and renowned cast. @.coldplay's Viva la vida has been one of my favorite songs to sing my whole life, but to be able to sing the same song to tell this beautiful story of Pachinko was an extremely exciting experience for me. This trailer has me so excited for Pachinko season 2, l hope it does the same for you. Thank you AppleTV for having me. ❤️
Feeling the ripple effect of WWII, the fate of the Baek family echoes across four generations. Forbidden love, resilience, and moral dilemmas define the journey of Pachinko Season 2 - premiering August 23 on Apple TV+”

Wow, I doubted with the title and knowing the song, but she suits this "remix" greatly

Ohhh I really liked that show
Nice and twisty
One thing I have heard about Pachinko is that it's NOT a k-drama. It much for feels like a Western created "premium" drama
I still couldn’t start watching it, my week already started pretty hectic. But I will try this weekend. A lot of people say it was really good, this is why I’m trying it out now.
Thx for that information. The trailer already didn’t felt K-Dramalike to me.
