There exists no supporting evidence for what she did in the first place, so you wouldn't have the faintest clue if she was "doing the same thing" that only YOU, someone who has never even met her, have accused her of doing for years. Literally no one who would know better has made such an accusation. It was a single, solitary incident, the actual details of which we never discovered. All we have is the editor's word, which was enough to cause a stir and force an apology, whether it was actually deserved or not. How you've managed to extrapolate this to her being a complete bitch for years on end is beyond me. It must take quite the imagination though.

I noticed that too, with so many K-pop scandals and controversies! I thought I was the only one.

Often the ones crying and shouting the hardest about idols being bullies, have no self reflection at all how their actions online are the same and worse than those idol bullies.

Kinda like how the people villainizing and putting girls and women on burning stakes as witches and lynching black Americans for their 'evil deeds', were often far worse in their intolerance, hatred and wickedness than the victims they burnt as witches or hanged.

Personally, I think it's often projection or phobias and traumatic bullying experiences in their childhood or highschool years with those people shouting the hardest about idols being bullies.

She didn't have a choice. The accusations were going to wreck her reputation whether they were true or not, which we never found out, because the editor never provided any evidence. But SM knew people like you would run with it either way, and that trying to fight the accusation would just create an even bigger controversy. Putting out a public apology isn't for the supposed victim, it's a PR move (same goes for Jennie.)
