How much does public opinion affects korean legal judgement?

  • I have noticed that in kpop disputes, which ever side has public opinion on their side ends up winning the legal judgement too

Like in case of bbc vs loona members, public opinion was on members side and they ended up winning the lawsuit

In 5050 case, the public opinion was in support of ceo instead of the members and ceo ended up winning the lawsuit.

In case of hybe vs ador/mhj/newjeans, the public opinion is in side of mhj and newjeans , and she ended up winning the court injuction which was being thought by most as impossible for her to win.

  • to my limited experience reading korean legal stuff yes

but i rarely delve into these things, do other countries not experience the same phenomenon?

  • GP Korea is not kpop fandom.

They are pretty much listening legal case just like any other news. They will just move to other side by using common sense. I am working with Korean in technical field, and most of them truly does not care about kpop, not even BTS (but somehow they say IU is well respected artist in Korea :holding-back-tears: , oh my queen).

Ifans are different. They are fandom that act most like a cult toward their bias. Even Seungri had ifans that support him blindly during burning sun case :pepefacepalm: . I will never listen to ifans when it comes to fair judgment.

Why court side seems to side with GP? Most likely because korean GP don't put their idol in pedestal. They support them but at the same time judge them harshly especially if their image are tarnished (their competition and jealous culture are insane). Even in daily work, they will not give stage if you are not good. Everything is competition for them and they think it won't be fair to give reward for someone not better than them. That's why they are quite hard with leserra.

This. THIS is what 99% of ifans don't understand it's ironic because these are the people that will say educate yourself or try to "educate" idols yet these people will never learn a damn thing about asia Asians and never learn anything about the mentality geopolitical ideology religion culture ideology and traditions of Korea thus they never understand why the GP or government responds certain ways and then have the audacity to 🤡🤡 beliefs that their favorite idols who are KOREAN will somehow think differently. They are just normal koreans who are famous they still adhere to the same beliefs culture fears wants desires etc that everyone else in that country has.
