A couple of things I noticed from this that surprised me (I don't expect ya'll to watch this long ass video like I did so TLDR):

    1. People only seem to know Stray Kids song from My Pace on. The further we got into their careers, the more people knew the choreo.

    2. Everyone knew all the Twice songs, even the solos, except Perfect World...the one Japanese song of theirs that was played... ;(

3.Damn, I feel so bad for VCHA...why would ya'll even do that? ;( Why would you even throw them in there like that? No one knew them.

4.I was surprised how many Ahgases/GOT7 fans there still are!? One girl even had a GOT7 light stick.

    5. There were more Miss A fans and Wonder Girls fans than NMIXX. ;( (There were even more JYP -the man- fans than NMIXX... ;(;( )

    5. It was a good mix of younger and older fans. That one ojii-san/ahjusshi was killing it to Wonder Girls, JYP, and Twice.

    6. ITZY seems to be in the middle in terms of being known and not.

    7. I was expecting them to play more NiziU. Specifically more of their Japanese songs. They literally only played 2? Well, this was a KPOP Random Dance, so I guess that's why.

  • Lol omg I definitely feel that older guy coming out to support Wonder Girls for Nobody after the youngsters wasn't trying. My inner Wonderful would've been up there too with some sharp moves tbh. I still remember their choreography. It was good to see Tell me have more of the younger crowd.

Thank God there's time stamps for these videos tho

  • Wait, are they in the video?

    Ikr, lmao.

I was like, people might actually watch some of it since they can skip to certain parts.

There was also that one auntie that refused to not have someone out there dancing for Miss A lol.

  • What!? I had no idea?

    I wonder why? :whatb:

For the choreo or J fandom? Choreo a member said so, Jeongyeon if I remember well

For the Japanese Onces, well they are many, but basically the core of Kpop fandoms, invested Onces are first and foremost Kpop fans just like us. They prefer the Kpop songs over the "Jpop" adaptations, at least that's what I was told by Onces when I was there

  • VCHA just have 0 future as a group.

They have no fans or relevance and no market to grow into. What was JYPE even thinking.

I still think they could tap into the pre-teen Western market. That sweet spot where Nickelodeon, Disney, and people who Jojo Siwa used to be marketed to (before she tried to crossover lol) live.

But, that doesn't seem to be the approach they are taking. So, yeah, idk wtf they are going to do with them.

I don't think JYPE has the connections or resources needed to focus that crowd in the US and the ones who are of that same age range and are aware of Kpop seem to be much more interested in Korean groups rather than VCHA.

I think this is the third or forth time a company has tried to make essentially non Korean Kpop group and all failed hard for a reason.

I think that's why they teamed up with Republic Records. VCHA is supposed to be managed and promoted by both companies. Just like they teamed up with Sony for NiziU and their new Japanese BG NEXZ. Sony has been doing an amazing job promoting NiziU in Japan, and NEXZ is starting on a decent foot too.

It is Republic Records job to use their connections to get VCHA access to that audience in the US. Which they totally have the resources for. They literally have a partnership with Nickelodeon. If Republic Records wanted to use those resources to set VCHA in that direction, they totally could. They just don't seem to be doing that. Who knows why.
