Why do kdrama's romantically pair up school girls with adult men?

Hmm.. I think I usually skip those dramas that have a large age gap cos it feels weird. For example Backstreet Rookie and Clean with Passion. Funny thing is both also have the same lead actress, Kim Yoo Jung. Lol..

I only watch crime/investigation/legal/comedy type of drama, but I don't think they have many KDRAMA that have the role of school girl fall in love with adult men. If it's junior/senior who falls in love, yes many times it happens.

Some examples? i didn't watch any show with older man/teen girl plot. I do know about Backstreet rookie but i dropped that trash of a show after one episode; and goblin

They meet when she’s still in HS... I think it’s 19 by Korean age maybe or there is a skip idk I didn’t watch it Kek

I had two tries: first time i got to ep 7 and after six months i tried it again, i thought maybe i wasn't in the mood for such storyline at the time. I got to ep 11 sne gave up for good.

i like Peaky Blinders that's it for teen series i have liked SKAM (norwegian series) it has lots of versions by lots of european countries

Also in Tale of the nine-tailed Lee Yeon already knew that girl since she was little. tbh i don't get it too but i also don't feel really weird since the actors are around the same age in real life

Got it! It wasn't exactly this but sumn like it. Riverdale and stuff hire adults to play high schoolers and make em do stuff on screen so they can get away with it just cuz the actors are legally adults.

All those people playing high school kids in Riverdale look late 20s to 30. It is ridiculous that they are casted as high school students

I watched it and it's among my favourite too.

I confused it with "It's ok, that's love"..... Even though I dont think that "It's ok, that's love" has old man/young girl plot too.

Skam (the original) is the only worthy of watching. S3 was a masterpiece. Eta: every seaon has a different centric character. As for the remakes all shows nailed only one season. French version had the best s3, Belgian s2. Dutch version had the best 1st season but it was sadly cancelled after s2. American version was trash and was rightfully cancelled after s2. Yes, i tried many remakes :-D

Watch Dark on netflix if you are into sci-fi. I need to finish both dark and peaky blinders but kdramas messed up my schedule sigh

I also thought you were talking about iotnbo lol. I watched iotl but i forgot everything about it. As for the op, i don't think there are lots of series with that storyline. In fact Backstreet rookie actually got a warning for having a scene with school girl kissing an older man (without consent). I dropped hotel de la luna too lol

Doctors (2016). I’m pretty sure the age gap was 10 years for the storyline.
