How do you feel about kpop stans who choose not to date real life people, because they are "loyal" to their idol?

Well... I know that Seonghwa would never date me, and there are some guys I know personally, who I have a crush on.
Even though just like Seonghwa, no guy that I have had a crush on likes me back and I'm not that lucky in love.
There are times, when I have had trust issues, when it comes to men, and felt like it is safer to have an imaginary boyfriend.
It has nothing to do with me being "loyal" to my celebrity crush though.
If a guy, who I like, asks me out on a date, then of course I say yes, and not like "No, I'm being loyal to some guy from a kpop group. who doesn't even know me."

i really cannot imagine it. like that takes serious dedication. at that point theyre just turning the idol into a god like they are following a religion. people can trick themselves into being dedicated to anything, it gives purpose. i guess a kpop idol is a lot more fun to worship

Some people idolize other people too much. Also happens with some athletes and celebrities and even politicians, to the point that it's almost cult-like. The difference is that there is usually not a BF/GF dynamic with athletes, but you can see it in the extreme reactions when someone says something like "He didn't play well today"
I noticed male idols usually encourage this behavior the most, of wanting their female fans to stay single for them.
This is at least equally as bad with some girl groups and their male stans that really don't want their 'pure' faves to date.

telling ur fan to just stay home and be on Weverse all day with you is peek delulu behavior from that idols part.
and the fact that the fan probably listened and canceled her blind date is even crazier.
