Is number of songs really influence album sales?

For BTS, no. It's more so their label seeing how far they can price their albums and it seems $270 is as high as they are willing to go. (And this was for no new songs)

I think so

Theoretically... You are getting more value out of it on a cost per song basis.

But in reality, the main reason people buy kpop albums is 1.) To support the group 2.) For collection purposes or photocards 3.) Fandom mass buy go support sales figures

None of which matters how many songs are on there.

$270 for an album of old songs...

Hopefully no more expensive album for BTS but knowing BH, idk anymore.

The only thing that was proven to sell less were the repack albums I think? which made sense

That's something that was common for the 2nd generation and earlier, the 3rd gen groups had a hit and miss rate of sales from EPs to Full Albums.

Largely because Full Albums generally had Photobooks for the 2nd gen, but not for EPs, while Photobooks were included for all types of CD albums for the 3rd gen
