May not be as bad as booze but being high certainly does affect a person's abilities.
Once a friend decided to light one up while driving and he skill was noticeably shitter. Braking took longer, changed gears slower and the worst was when he wasn't paying attention to the colour of the lights at busy junction. At that point one of us took over driving his car because he would've gotten us killed or something.

Constant use of any sort of drug will be bad in the long run, people might say weed is less dangerous and such but who knows
My advice is, never use drugs, even alcohol or cigarettes, cuz you might start depending on those things to do stuff like work (just as the OP said about his colleagues), school, etc

I took 6 dabs one night and thought I was dying. I made hella threads begging for help but no one took me seriously.

I was training this dude on a machine who was stupid as hell. He told me that when he smokes weed he is more alert and performs the job better. I encouraged him to come into work high. The next day he came into work drunk talking about “I like coming to work getting fucked up.” He had to end up going home
I said come into work high, NOT drunk. I was mad as hell I had to do his dirty work
