Those rumors of her not renewing were obviously false, but there must have been some truth to their contract negotiations starting earlier than expected. Especially if Seulgi really did renew when they said she did. Because assuming they signed the usual 3-year extension after their original 7-year contract, and SM didn't have some sort of weird slave contract worked out, those should've been expiring this summer.

I wonder why the news of the members renewing are coming separately like this? Like not all of them have the same contract length ?

contracts for rv seem to be different lenghts guess, I speculate seulgi did her second renewal at the end of 2022 since last time sm stated her renewal was not recent when articles came out. basically after 2021 they all have different contracts

I had this discussion with someone else and we thought that certain members of RV might have still had the old 10year "extended" contracts

I don't think they renewed after 2021. Contract extensions are typically three years, so it would make sense that they need renewing again in 2024. But with Seulgi's renewal being announced so much earlier than Irene's, it does make me wonder if Seulgi's new contract went into effect already, or if they're all just negotiating in advance of the current ones expiring at the same time.

no announcement but all those shareholder reports have always put them as renewed in 2021

So they renewed in 2021 but with different durations? SM never talked about any contract renewal at that time

irene is the only rv member i expect to stay at sm. i think the other members will leave

She should've switched company

As long as SM is treating RV well that's all that matters to me. hopefully, she has her solo debut and gets more acting gigs.
