Wow, Treasure's album sales skyrocketed after the first week, selling almost a million after that. It's super rare in kpop. Usually, K-pop groups sales peak in the first week. But this time, Treasure latest album doubled the sales, even more than their first week for the first month sales. They even outselling Enhypen, who initially sold more in the first day and week. What happened? Did they go viral post-comeback or what? It's not the usual album sales trend, especially for their first cb after losing two members. Plus, even SM artists with shipment issues haven't had selling more album after the in their first month compare to their first week.

Before this, for all their cb, Treasure's sales stay pretty steady. Like, they will sell more albums in the first week than in the whole first month, just like most K-pop groups do. This is the first time their sales development change this much. So, did they get viral or shooting sudden popularity after the first week of their cb because it's such a huge sales boost.

Or YG need to convince some investors and stakeholders bc their cb was late July and this boost happen on August, the same month BP supposed contract renewal decision come out? I wonder...

  • YG need to to have something to mediaplay to make it seem like losing BP will not be a blow to them (even tho everyone know it will be the hardest blow for them).

  • I'm starting to noice that they have more fans than I thought I sort of underestimated them. I sometimes come across some of treasure accounts on twitter there are many of them . I guess their sea and japane fans are increasing . But I'm not as shocked they always give a lot of content and more frequent comebacks to their fans something that barely happens with YG groups. ( kind of unfair if you ask me) + they are adding more concerts (I think) I don't keep up with them

  • Sales inflation probably which happened to many groups.

Enhypen going to maintain their sales with Orange Blood similar to IVE.

    :pepe-shrug:

Sales inflation happen during the first week not after like everyone else in kpop. Then it's this slow climb afterward. Now, with Treasure, their sales double after the first week, within the first month. Now, where's the boost from? What's the story behind gaining an extra million in sales after the first week within the first month? It's interesting that they even outsold Enhypen in this one.

  • is it hard to accept they have many k-fans? like i think that's a clear possibility

I do think their fandom is getting bigger.... now that I follow some baemon stans and I come across some teamu on my TL I have seen a steady growth with their fandom despite not making that much noise in Korea kind of like happened with other boy groups that were considered flops too

they are doing concerts in korea and japan maybe that's why

The sudden 1 million sales boost didn't make any sense especially if it's because of K-fans. Korean stores were the first one receiving the stocks anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️ and the timing is perfect with Bp contract renewal month.

Their steady sales trajectory also didn't help.

  • They are actually popular? I think you should rather question Enhyphen not Treasure. I actually see a lot of Treasure fans on twitter and they have votes and views and subs to back up.

I just checked, Enhypen have more followers in all social media with a really huge gap.

    Twitter: En-6.9m , Trs: 2.4m

    Tiktok: En- 19.4m , Trs: 7.2m

    Ig: En- 14.2m , Trs: 6.9m

It makes this even more unbelievable seeing the gap.

I think is a combination of both their fandom getting bigger and bulkbuying well international fans like chinese and japanese buy from Korean stores if I'm not mistaken. I feel YG might be pushing them with the rooboot tour thingy with the timing and adding more dates so their album sales will boost that usually helps imo

I don't care much about treasure but you guys keep pushing the flop agenda on them like they might grow

same think happened with stray kids in the past

Who say they flop, the sales gap is just interesting.

  • Enhypen seem bigger in Japan as well so it’s an interesting one. Their single this year sold 400k there whilst Treasure’s did 245k.

Like with any album sales you need to caveat the number of version to do a proper comparison these days :pepe-narrow-eyes:

So the increase isn’t Japan. Their music isn’t getting anymore popular judging by Spotify so I doubt it’s SEA or the West. So I’m going to say more versions and/or pricing.

  • Do you hoes have to tie everything to bp somehow?

Treasure fans are like roaches, I don’t doubt the # sales tbh. Their voting/touring is better then enhypen

I wouldn't say their touring is better than Enhypen. As people have said, they focus their touring on Korea/Japan.

Treasure's venues in japan are arena's + domes for their upcoming tour

Enhypen are also doing domes, in fact the exact same ones.

Treasure's venue in korea is KSPO dome

    Enhypen also plays KSPO dome

the difference between the two acts is Treasure focus on touring in these two countries (at least announced dates for their upcoming tour are only japan and korea atm), which allows for more dates in those two countries.

Enhypen does the same venues as treasure in these 2 countries however, they alongside those... did arenas in the US and SEA. So in order to go and fill demand in other countries... they don't do as many Japan dates (even though they likely could, given their jpn sales show their demand there).

So I really don't get this statement lol.
