Which girl group was Jyp biggest inspiration when he created Twice?

I do think Twice is inspired by SNSD but only to a certain point. They don’t sound similar even the number of members wasn’t initially the same. ITZY based off BP is a stretch. Niziu was inspired by Twice to a point to but JYP always wanted a Japanese girl group that’s why he recruited Sana, Momo and Mina and other Japanese trainees. Nmixx just isn’t based off Aespa that’s ridiculous. VCHA if anything is based off niziu and boy story. JYPE has always wanted to localize pop groups

It was a brave move to add japanese members, jyp really normalized it.

Pretty obvious Twice was based on the same concept as Girls' Generation, but with some added non-korean members and maybe a bit more youthful image. I also believe ITZY was a reaction on BP, JYP wanted something different to Twice and more similar to BP, so they created ITZY that it's a bit in the middle beween BP and Twice.

I see the connections with your first two comparisons, Itzy was clearly his version of BP's girl crush, just like Aespa was SM's version of it. And Niziu was probably his attempt to create Japanese Twice.

Dont really see Vchai latte being NJ, to me it's his version of Illin'. And i never put NMIXX and Aespa in the same breath, clearly OO was his version of Next Level but the groups are very dissimilar (Aespa are glam queen high fashion vocalists focused on visuals, NMIXX are rugged dancer types focused on stage performances).

The comparisons here are ridiculous enough but Vcha and NJ XDD...get out of here

Vcha is Disney inspired kpop talent show group, NJ is well thought out group with a whole creative team behind them
