He watched all their tapes... alot of behind the scenes footage and knew who he wanted, somehow he din want jiwoo in the group, he must have his reasons... age being one of the reason!

LSF - Hybe kpop group #1 (like ITZY, IVE)

I'll IT - Hybe kpop group #2 (like NMIXX)

NWJNS - Hybe global kpop group (like Twice/BP)

Dream Academy - Hybe global girl group (like A2K, but TBD how serious JYP is)

JYP's NMIXX and ITZY have no Japanese members as JYP has a localization strategy for Japan post Twice (Niziu, &Team etc.) vs. Hybe's LSF and I'll IT with 2 Japanese members each. Hybe is instead committing resources and making a serious attempt at entry into the western market with a truly global, high caliber girl group based in the US with Hybe America's Dream Academy.

It remains to be seen how well this global model will work. On paper it all makes sense - localized talent, partnership with major label, tailored music and concepts for the local mainstream, not having to live with suboptimal choices or make certain sacrifices due to needing to appeal to both domestic and int'l audiences etc... like BTS/BP/Twice

But who knows, NWJNS could be the first kpop group to truly breakthrough to the global mainstream. Which makes it easier for me to believe I'll IT will be Bang PD's concession to the domestic market rather than his version of NewJeans, which Dream Academy is the likelier rival.

imo this group will be like LSF but for a younger market. It is not going to be a NJ ripoff with a cute y2k concept.

Hybe have done their global market research. LSF is following that "research" and #1 in Korea is not and has never been their goal.
