So many akp users are over kpop but won’t admit it to themselves…

i think i'm at peak or near-peak fandom currently
but I do observe that this place is like a retirement home for kpop fans

I believe that the average K-pop fan and user on akpop is very young so it’s more lack of maturity than anything. K-pop is just music to me. My main focus is making $$$ to support a family while saving for retirement. If K-pop literally died overnight I wouldn’t lose a second of sleep.
you're doing the right thing

I am still pretty invested in Kpop but it’s not the same as before as the music quality is not the same anymore. I am not sure that I will be here anymore when Mamamoo and Red Velvet will be gone or less active.

I think it's with K-pop like it is with your first love or other passions when you get into it: while your love may mature and change, or you'll find other loves just like you'll find other groups to stan, it won't be the same as it was when you first fell in love, that time of discovery, blissful surprise and newness.
Same with K-pop and the group(s) people stan.
Some will leave K-pop when their passion for it has gone, others will keep coasting into K-pop even while their passion has paled, and again others will keep being interested in K-pop and K-pop groups even if it's not the same as it was when they just got into K-pop.

I still like my old faves, but have been less invested in getting to know new groups.
Getting back into it though, but have to admit that all the fanwarring BS surrounding KPop has turned me off a bit in general (apart from my fave groups that I still support).
I am not the multi that wanted to support and stan everyone anymore and that was the most fun time for me in Kpop.
