[BTS CONTENT] I do hope Slow Dancing is an upbeat RnB track

    I know ARMY. We only go hard for hype music or super pop pop. BTS' top 10 hits confirm this aside from Spring Day that gets SK in the feels. But their pop hits has come out swinging in recent years; Boy With Luv & Dynamite are the best examples. I know he wants to showcase his vocals more but if his entire album is slow RnB tracks and then "Slow" Dancing is too, that will kill the hype 100%. Yet To Come and Life Goes On met the same fate compared to Run BTS(not even a title track but the one ARMY out streamed) and Dynamite.


    So it does get mad annoying when his solos blame ARMY for not being hyped when ARMY, in general, are 1000% pop stans.


    PS. I am not liking this MHJ rollout. It does not mesh well with ARMY that are used to the rollout we've had for years before chapter two.

    Just dropping stuff unannounced, releasing a MV a day before it's released on streaming platforms (and not counting at all for the tracking week) then releasing two MVs at the same time with two songs to stream at the same and dumping all these photoshoots back to back to back is high key annoying.


    She's highly overrated and a one-trick pony if she's just copying and pasting what she does for her own group with Taehyung. But I digress, Taehyung wanted this so I only hope Slow Dancing gives us a fast banger. :pepe-shame:

    Taehyung's BPM preference is in Lana territory...hard to imagine a real uptempo moment happening but if it's a huge slow jam bop with massive hooks it could still do really well. So far, Tae has gone more for mood/atmosphere than pop appeal so I guess we will see what he has up his sleeve. The EP will do well even if none of the songs are big hits.

    I don't need it to be upbeat and i don't think it will be. After 2 songs we heard I don't think it would fit the mood. What i "need" is to be more like love me again than rainy days. I LOVE love me again but rainy days is meh


    Also, bts pop songs are definitely not my fave. Out of three english songs i only listen to butter. I don't listen to bwl even tho I'm technically bwl army. I LOVE yet to come but life goes on is my least fave tt. What I'm trying to say, i don't care about genre, i just want a good song

    I don't need it to be upbeat. I know what Tae likes and have come to expect that is what he'll give. It's his annoying solos that berate ARMY for not giving him pop song results. Even PTD, the song that had ARMY divided still outperformed most of their BTS' discography :pepe-life-support:

    That's the thing though...should rapline stop making rap songs then because it's not as popular as their pop songs?


    Just like RM can release a 4 min title song called wildflower and not care about chart success, it's the same for V too...

    I havent followed V's rollout or even heard his two singles yet. But i am intrigued by the description of the title song. 70s romantic soul/RnB has some of the most amazing timeless legendary classics (although i much prefer 80s/90s cover/remix versions of some of the songs, sue me X( that was my childhood and the sound quality/productions were better).


    Looks like Army is divided about what's best, a more upbeat pop RnB vs some of the slower ballady type songs. I'm just hopeful for something like this:

    BTS should not be constrained to doing what their fans, let alone solos and akgaes, want. They are ARTISTS not PUPPETS.


    Furthermore, ARMY should not be concerned about whether or not Tae releases a GP-friendly hit for GP along with ARMY to stream just so the solos can feel like they won for two seconds cause two seconds later it's going to be something else they're bitching about. They're ALWAYS gonna be complaining about something. Letting them stress us out has got to be worse than death by 10,000 paper cuts.

    I'm quite fine with what V has released so far to be honest. Although I do think the lyrics need a little tweak and the songs are just missing a little oomph.


    We dont need to chase the charts all the time. Usually aiming to top the charts just leads to less interesting music, soundwise and lyrics wise. I'm quite ok with avoiding that 😂 no wonder I enjoyed Indigo as a whole the most until now.

    Both JK and V have wasted opportunities with their unreleased gems IMO. Someone needs to tell these boys that those songs were precious.

    This was one of the songs I had hoped would end up on his album. Maybe it still will but with a new title.
