I predicted fanwars based on Korean charting, but it turns out, the fighting is about US charting
Hybe obviously doesn't care. They're dead set on promoting their newest groups, and letting the fans carry the legacy ones. Makes sense from a strictly monetary point of view, Hybe is probably making a lot more money off of NJ income than BTS (i'm presuming that BTS members now get a lot bigger share of the pie as 10 year old idols, compared to rookie contracts).

lol not in absolute dollars of course, but in terms of proportion relative to how much the idol gets. Most rookie contracts are probably extremely tilted towards the label, while seniors probably get a lot higher share. Maybe 0-10 percent for rookie idols with labels getting 90-100 percent, versus 50/50 for idols as popular and lucrative as BTS. I mean isnt this the common rationale to explain why companies just end up disbanding idol groups after contracts expire and then starting new ones? Everyone complains about this all the time.
If you as a company have 1 million to invest in a comeback, would you invest in a rookie group where you get 90-100 percent of all profits? Or would you invest that 1 million in your senior idols who end up getting 50 percent of the profits?

lol it's simple. Companies take almost all of the profits from rookie groups, while they generally have to share a lot more of the profits with senior idols esp of the stature of BTS. So if you're a company, would you rather have your rookie groups blow up or senior idols blow up?
This seems to be a pretty simple explanation for what's happening with TTH between Super Shy and Seven.
