What is the future for EXO?

I guess it depends

If SM do the right thing, CBX can go back. Knowing SM, this outcome will be surprising.

Otherwise other members have to join the suit so they can get their trademark and establish their own company. They won't be able to sue for their trademark if not every member is on it.

Otherwise if it's half in, half out, SM is to petty to let them promote together.

So yeah there are ways just depend on how they will play it

if all EXO leave then they can win the trademark, but if it's just CBX then no.

i hope CBX win the lawsuit and get to use their names (they may get blocked from calling themselves chen, baekhyun, xiumin).

Tbh yes, it feels like it

I'm surprisingly resigned with all that. I guess it's because I've been suffering in anticipation many years ago. My first mental breakdown was way back in 2018, when Korea changed their enlistment rules and we discovered Xiumin was going to enlist soon

Back in that moment I already felt a cold in my heart telling me EXO contract renegotiation were going to be REALLY ugly with the members scattered

The (not so much) subtle shades and complaints plagued every EXO reunion and comeback for years now, their growing dissatisfaction was easy to spot. Delays, lack of budget, lean promotions, every time something went wrong felt like a Jab in my skin in a way I could never properly and fully enjoy an EXO release since at least 2017

So my mind is at ease, I saw it coming. We all saw it guys, maybe some liked to lie to themselves, but I simply never could. Sometimes I tried to be silent, but inside me coiled deep was perpetual voice screaming "This will be your last time seen them together"

Those feelings of anxiety, sadness, fear, numbness, was part of what being an EXO fan was to me. Maybe I'm a masochist after all

I wish them all well, I'll try to avoid any thoughts of entitlement: They owe us fans nothing. Their own helathy and rights comes first and above everything. I'm for once Glas they're fighting back, I'll be patiently cheering for them and keep a positive attitude, hoping for good news coming forward.

Let's wait and see. Personally, I think we are on the brink of never seeing EXO as a group again (other than in social media updates that is). This is the tip of the iceberg, we don't know what is going to happen next. And yes, it feels like the end of an era.

same, my first mental breakdown was back in 2014 when kris left (tho good riddance for that one). then chinese members kept following. then things kept getting weird and difficult for exo.

i'm at ease now. my only worry is CBX getting blacklisted like JYJ.

I think it's over we knew it eons ago just how shitty sm entertainment is. Then you look at the token symbolism of exo being 9 when itd actually 8. Lay has been out of exo for over a decade and never been back. He knew sm fucks them royally which is why he never returned and pushed his career in China made big had his own agency and idols now.
